Total black

If flawless looks remain an elusive stylistic goal, black is a timeless choice that never goes wrong. A little quarantine, a little change of weather can be difficult for us, the elegant appearances of street style, however, become the inspiration we need to resort to the classic black and try cool combinations that will bring us one step closer to the perfect monochrome .

From morning to night, the monochrome look and especially the shade of black is the perfect recipe for "detoxification" from our summer outfits, accompanying our daily appearances in style. Black denim pants, trench coats, coats and favorite perfecto jackets become the best allies of all black clothing, whatever our personal style. Metal accessories, leather bags and shoes that go beyond the classics, come to upgrade an all-black ensemble and become the detail that makes the difference.

Bike shorts in the winter

Bike shorts are the trend that just won’t quit. Just when you think we’re collectively over the idea of dressing up  cycling shorts , a movement for sure ignited  by the Kardashians , another trendsetting star steps out in them, and suddenly they seem cool and fresh again. And sure, you may not want to wear them  outside  in the frigid winter, but considering many of us are stuck at home most of the time anyway, they’re a hero piece to lounge around in. The tees, released weekly in batches of three to six, typically sell out within two minutes of their arrival online. Lucky buyers receive a one-of-a-kind creation, stitched with the line’s logo (a play on Speedo’s) and adorned with the words of Haitian poet René Depestre on the inside-bottom seam: “By the strength of my wind you will emerge from yourself.” Plantin never repeats a colorway, and she thinks of each batch of tees as a chapter in an ongoing story whose plot is a quest for community and collaboration, particularly for people of the African diaspo ra.  Each release of shirts comes with a set of stories related to the ocean, a theme that Plantin settled on after diving into her own origins. “With my mom being from New Orleans, a port city, and my dad being from Jacmel, a beach town in Haiti, I kept s...
